Mr. Eddy Dukes, age 55, of the Plainville community, passed away Wednesday morning October 24th in Erlanger Hospital.
Eddy was born August 20, 1962 in Tifton, Georgia, son of the late Primus Elwood Dukes and Martha Renfroe Dukes. He was a 10 year veteran of the United States Air Force serving during “Desert Storm”. Eddy was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Plainville where he had lived for the past 12 years. At the time of his death he was employed by Cobb Industrial Fabricators as a welder. He enjoyed football and was a well-known farrier.
Survivors include his wife; Danita Dukes of Plainville, two sons; William Bailey of Lake Charles, LA. and Aaron Floyd of Plainville, three daughters; Nikki Duhan of Lake Charles, LA., Lesley Warnke of Raleigh, NC and Nicole Black of Plainville, one brother; Jay Dukes of Savannah, two sisters; Angie Breland of LaGrange and Lisa Bailey of Savannah. Ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 28th at 2pm from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. David Ray and Rev. Ron Bankson officiating. Interment will follow in the Scott Cemetery. Ailene Dyer and Amber Lee will have charge of the music.
Pallbearers serving are Hub Bailey, Joey Isakson, Mike Bailey, Seth Cochran, Ken Pope, William Bailey, and Danny Bennett.

The family will receive friends Saturday, October 28th from 12 noon until 2pm prior to the funeral service.
