November 14, 2010 Earl Lindsey, age 64, of the Shannon community. Died Friday evening November 12th in Floyd Medical Center. Earl was born September 18, 1946 in Centre, Alabama. Son of the late John Amos and Lila Mae Martin Lindsey. He enjoyed and was active in the regional saddle clubs and trail rides. Earl was a truck driver prior to his retirement and was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Hunter Lindsey. Survivors include his three daughters; Lisa Kinsey and her husband James of Rome, Donna Holcombe and her husband Daniel of Adairsville, and Nancy Taylor and her husband Joe of Shannon. Two brothers; Albert Lindsey of Centre and W.A. Lindsey of Cave Springs. Three sisters; Ruth Reddish of Rome, Katherine Butler of Calhoun, and Jenny Wheeler of Centre. Seven grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Monday November 15th at 12 noon from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home. With family members delivering the eulogy. Earl will be taken to Scott Cemetery in Plainville for burial in his horse drawn wagon. Pallbearers serving include Justin, Jacob and Joe Taylor, Davin Crain, Jamie Kinsey and Gene Braun and they are asked to meet at the funeral home at 11:45 A.M. Monday. The family request that in lieu of flowers donation may be made to the Earl Lindsey Memorial Fund @ 248 Iron Mountain Road, Adairsville, Georgia, 30103. The family will receive friends Monday morning from 9am until the funeral hour.
