Doug Cronan, age 50 of Ranger died at 9:26 PM Friday July 17.
Doug was born, December 2, 1957 in Pickens County, son of John Newman Cronan and the late Barbara Jo Mullinax Cronan. Also, he was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin “Buff” Cronan in 1997. He was formerly employed at Allied Universal of Fairmount and was a member of the Talking Rock Baptist Church.
Doug is survived by his father, Newman Cronan; four brothers, Jerry Cronan and his wife Becky Sammy Cronan, Billy Cronan and his wife Donna, Glenn Bramlett and his wife Tammy, two sisters, Hazel Cronan and Penny Bramlett and her husband Ricky all of Ranger.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 21 at the Miracle Temple Church near Ranger with the Reverends Delmer Ledford and Ron Goss officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers are Bobby Stone, Jacob Stone, Charles Black, Robert Walker, Jason Young, Richard Puckett, and Tubby Chastain.
The body of Mr. Cronan will lie in state from 2:00 PM, Monday until the funeral hour of 2:00 PM Tuesday.
