Dorothy Jean Stanley

Friday, July 23, 2010 Dorothy King Stanley, age 87, of Calhoun, died Thursday July 22 at her residence. Dorothy was born in Gordon County November 19, 1922. Daughter of the late Henry Grady King and Exa Nix King. Dorothy was a member of Bethany Christian Church of Lawrenceville, GA. She was formerly employed by Canterbury Court. Dorothy was also preceded in death by a brother, Sam G. King and a sister, Mildred Cochran. Survivors include one niece; Shirley Annette Roberts of Jefferson, GA, two nephews; Jerry Eugene Cochran of Rock Island, IL, and Kim King of Calhoun, GA; two great nieces, Holly Roberts and Mandy Robertson; six great nephews, John Roberts, Allen Roberts, Mark Cochran, Todd Cochran, Thomas Cochran, and Corey King. Graveside Rites will be conducted Sunday July 25 at 4:00 PM from Fain Cemetery. Rev. Paul Gay will be officiating. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 5 to 8 PM. In addition to flowers contributions can be made to the 700 club.
