Friday, January 16, 2009 Mrs. Dorothy Louise Uhl, age 83, of Calhoun. Died Friday January 16th in Gordon Hospital. Mrs. Uhl was born in Stoneham, MA., March 11, 1925. Daughter of the late Xenophen Pendleton and Alice Ann Palmer Walton. She was a retired school teacher with more than 40 years of service and had taught at Eastside Elementary School from 1977 to 1980. Mrs. Uhl was a member of the Calhoun Seventh Day Adventist Church were her husband had served until his retirement. Survivors include her husband, Pastor Henry A. Uhl of Calhoun. Two sons, James A. Walton of Watertown, NY., and Robert H. Uhl of Boston, MA.. Two daughters, Carol J. Herndon of Sugar Valley and Sharon L. Schaefer of Jonesboro, TN.. Her brother, Ed Walton of MI and sister Ann Davitt of Newburyport, MA.. Four grandchildren also survive. A celebration of the life of Dorothy Lousie Uhl will be conducted Saturday January 24th at 3:30 p.m. in the Calhoun Seventh Day Adventist Church. With Pastor Phil White officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 3 p.m. at the church. The family requests that in Lieu of flowers contributions be made to the John L.
