Dorothy Nell “Dot” Lang, age 85 of Calhoun, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Gordon Health Care.
Dot was born on April 3, 1931 in Union Grove, AL to the late John Henry Lewis and Nora Bell Nelms Lewis. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church and past employee of Harbin Drug. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Tillman Lang.
She is survived by her daughter, Susie Scott of Calhoun; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ricky and Debbie Lang of Calhoun, and Bobby and Donna Lang of LaFayette; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Mack and Sue Lewis of Calhoun, and Will and Evelyn Lewis of McMinnville, TN; sister and brother-in-law, Myra Sue and Buddy Embry of Morgan City, AL; five grandchildren, Brian Lang and his wife Jeni, LaCresha Scott, Autumn Sutton and her husband Tyler, Austin Lang and his wife MegAnn, and Ashley Lang; four great-grandchildren, Katherine Lang, Brian Lang, Jr., Jamaury Scott, and Hunter Lang.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, April 15th at 1 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Dwaine Shadix officiating. Johnny Embry will have charge of music. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery with Austin Lang, Brian Lang, Brad Davis, Brent Davis, Jim Embry and Wayne Lewis serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5 until 8 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
