Dorothy Holt

Dorothy Faye Holt, age 73 of Calhoun, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at her residence. Dorothy was born on January 15, 1943 in Rome, GA to the late Ben and Lucille Slaughter. She attended Big Springs Baptist Church, and worked at Mohawk for 13 years prior to her retirement. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, David Simerly. She is survived by her husband, Billy Holt of Calhoun; son, Max Simerly of Sugar Valley; two daughters, Debra Ann Webb and her husband Rickey of Resaca, and Glenda Davis of Nicklesville; one brother, Eddie Ray Slaughter of Dalton; ten grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday, March 6th at 2 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Tommy Phillips and Reverend David Long officiating.
