Dorothy Christian Harrison

Dorothy "Dot" Christian Harrison, age 87, wife of the late David L. Harrison, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023. She was a former resident of Calhoun and Gordon County, Georgia.

Born in Jackson, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late Frank Della Christian and Mary Watson Christian. A graduate of the University of Chattanooga, Dot was a licensed real estate broker having worked in residential sales and property management. She owned the Harrison Company of Greenville, South Carolina. Dot was an active member of the Christ Community Church of Simpsonville, South Carolina and enjoyed time with family on their farm as well as the mountains in Blowing Rock, North Carolina.

Dot is survived by three sons, Richard Lane Harrison and his wife Virginia of Greensboro, Georgia, Christian Lee Harrison of Greenville, South Carolina, and Stephen Andrew Harrison and his wife of Lisa of Simpsonville, South Carolina; three grandchildren, William Hampton Harrison and his wife, Elizabeth of Charlottesville, Virginia, Preston Mims Harrison and his wife Haley of Greenville, South Carolina and Caroline Harrison Williams and her huband Jim of Hartsville, South Carolina; two great grandchildren, and a sister, Ann Christian Williams of Greenville, South Carolina.

Dot was preceded in death by her son, David Douglas Harrison.

The funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, March 28, at 11:00 AM in the Sanctuary of Christ Community Church, 700 Harrison Bridge Road, Simpsonville, South Carolina with a visitation and luncheon to follow. Dot will be laid to rest in the Harrison Family Cemetery, 310a South Harrison Bridge Road, Simpsonville, South Carolina.
