Ms. Dorothy Faye Hale, age 60 of the Oak Grove Community, Gordon County, Georgia, passed away on March 21, 2019 following several months of declining health.
She was born in Gordon County, Georgia on April 29, 1958, daughter of the late William Elzo and Margaret Deskie (Amos) Hale.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; three brothers, Ronald Hale, Donald Hale, and Chester Hale; and two sisters, Katherine Hale and Patricia Corbin.
Survivors include: brother, Amos Hale of Calhoun, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Johnny and Dot Hale; Wayne and Martha Hale of Cartersville, GA: Alvin and Sandra Hale of Calhoun; sister-in-law, Diane Hale of Calhoun, GA; brother-in-law, Verlon Corbin of Cartersville, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jeanette and James McDonald of Harrison, TN; Sue and Clifford Ball of Acworth, GA; Jean and Steve Patterson of Rome, GA; Ruby and Dennis Watson of Charleston, TN; and Gail and Eddie Turner of Calhoun, GA. A number of nieces, nephews, and a host of friends also survive.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, March 23, 219 from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home, Calhoun, GA, with Reverend David Baker officiating. Interment will be in the Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Bartow County, GA.
Pallbearers are her nephews, Chris Howard, Nathan Patterson, David Corbin, Carl Hale, Russell Hale, Ryan Amos, and Travis Maddox.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 22, 2019 from 6 PM until 8 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
The family expresses their gratitude and deepest appreciation of Faye’s caregivers: April, Deborah, Kathy, Jannie, Angela, Sherry, Rebecca, Anita, Katie, Melissa, Renee, Francis, Rhonda, and Nan for the love, care, and devotion which they unselfishly gave to Faye; and to the staff of Winthrop Court, Rome, Georgia for the exceptional care they provided for Faye.
