Doris Jones

Doris Brown Jones, age 86 of Chatsworth, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at her residence. Doris was born on September 15, 1927 in Gordon County to the late Charlie Allen Brown and Ida Mae Guess. She was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John “Bud” Cagle, Jr., and six brothers and sisters. She is survived by her husband, Paul Jones of the Oostanaula Community; one brother, Winston Brown of Chatsworth; special sister-in-law, Johannah; two sisters, Trudy Thomason of Dalton and Loretta Brown of Chatsworth; nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, November 29th at 12:00pm from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend Michael Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00am until the funeral hour at 12:00pm at Thomas Funeral Home.
