Doris Nelson Faith

Doris Nelson Faith, age 86 of Calhoun, passed away on March 4, 2018 at Morning Pointe Assisted Living surrounded by her loving family. Doris was born on November 3, 1931 in Gordon County to the late Milton Nelson and Pearl Trammell. She was a lifetime resident of Gordon County graduating from Resaca High School, she was a loyal member Calhoun First Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Doris is preceded in death by her husband Harold Lester “Ooky” Faith; brothers, Ralph Nelson and M.H. Nelson; sister, Maurine Dorsey and her great-grandson, Luke Brady Minten. She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Lee and her husband Ron of Calhoun and Candace Mangum and her husband Anthony of Calhoun; two grandchildren, Season Christian and her husband John and John “Zip” Rampy and his wife Amber. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery. The family will receive friend concluding the service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Luke Brady memorial foundation at Greater Community Bank of Calhoun or the Faith Forward Building Fund at Calhoun First Baptist.
