Donnie Allan Hayes

Donnie Allan Hayes, age 59 of Calhoun, passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at his residence. Donnie was born on December 11, 1960 in Dalton, GA, son of Bertie Mulkey Hayes and the late William Oscar “Bill” Hayes. In addition to his father, Donnie was also preceded in death by his sister, Rita Hayes Hudgins. He was a member of Way of the Cross Church of Sugar Valley, GA and was an Evangelist. Donnie worked as a master automobile mechanic. Donnie is survived by: his wife, Gail Kinsey Hayes of Calhoun; two sons, Daniel Allen Hayes and his wife Crystal of Dalton and Zachary Wayne Hayes of Calhoun; two daughters, Kimberly Kinsey and her life partner Jose Telleria of Calhoun and Kasey Barfield and her husband James of Calhoun; two brothers, Larry Hayes and Johnny Hayes and his wife Theresa; five grandchildren, Gracie May Hayes, Sophie Hayes, Easton Smith, Alicia Telleria, and Destiny Escobar; and two great-grandchildren, Irabellia Haney and Nolan Haney. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 13, 2020 from 2 PM until 3:30 PM at Thomas Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at 4 PM in Crane Eater Cemetery with Rev. Lamar Patton and Rev. David Stephens in charge of graveside rites. Pallbearers serving are: Daniel Hayes, Zachary Hayes, James Barfield, Jose Telleria, Shawn Kilgore, Shane Gordon, Heath Gordon, and Jason Morgan.
