Donna B. Carter

Mrs. Donna B. Carter, Age 61 of Calhoun passed away Friday evening at her home following several months of declining health. Donna was born in Gordon County November 20, 1949, Daughter of the late William Therrell Barton and Frances Littlefield Barton. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Lamont Barton. She was a lifetime resident of Gordon County and a lifetime member of the Erwin Hill Church of God. Donna is survived by her husband, Randy Carter of Calhoun, two sons, Brain S. Carter of Calhoun and Phillip Derek Carter of Rome; two brothers Michael Barton and his wife Gail of the Sonoraville Community; Ronald Barton and his wife Marie of Memphis; two sisters, Sharon Barton of Calhoun, Carol Watson and her husband Pete of McCaysville, Georgia; and a grandson, Isaac Carter. A "Gone Home" Memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 27th in the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend DaRon Henson officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home preceding the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Erwin Hill Church of God Building Fund. Thomas Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Donna B. Carter of Calhoun.
