Donald Nesbitt

Donald Nesbitt, age 81 of Calhoun died at 11:50 AM, Sunday, February 05, 2012 in Quinton Memorial Health Care of Dalton. Donald was born, August 30, 1930 in Gordon County, son of the late Howard Alvin Nesbitt and Katherine Gollahon Nesbitt. Also, he was preceded in death by his wife Sue Quarles Nesbitt in May 2011 and a brother, Roy Nesbitt. Donald had worked his entire life for Exxon and was a member of the First Baptist Church. Donald is survived by a son, Donnie Nesbitt and his wife Tracie and three grandchildren, Carly, Max, and Katherine Nesbitt all of Calhoun. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, February 7 at the First Baptist Church of Calhoun with Dr. Bert Vaughn officiating. Burial will be Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery. The Nesbitt family will receive friends from 4:00 until 8:00 PM, Monday at the funeral home, and Amy Padgett will have charge of music. Pallbearers are Buck McBee, Todd Gibbs, Billy Hamilton, Gerald Mashburn, Bobby Dodd, and Wade Calvert. They are asked to meet at First Baptist Church at 2:45 PM Tuesday.
