Donald E. Hauenstein

Donald E. Hauenstein. age 68, of Calhoun passed away this morning at 10:37 a.m. at Gordon Hospital. Donald was born in Paris, OH on August 8, 1943. Son of the late Richard M. Hauenstein and Eva May Sheatsley. Donald worked as a machinist for Hall Machine in Carrollton, Ohio for 30 years until he retired in 2003. Donald has lived in Gordon County since 2005 and was of the Baptist faith. Besides his parents, Donald is preceded in death by his brother Marion Hauenstein. Donald is survived by his wife of fourteen years, Darlene Riffle Hauenstein; five daughters, Teresea Ritchie of Mooresville, NC, Donelle Kiser of Midland, NC, Mareva Hauenstein of Davidson, NC, Angela Hauenstein of Ft. Myers, FL, and Corrinna Hauenstein of Charlotte, NC; one son, Daniel Hauenstein of Lisbon,OH; one step-son, Jonathan Riffle of Calhoun; two brothers, Jim and Gary Hauenstein; three sisters, Joyce Tinlin, Carol Varner, and Kathy Beavers; several nieces, nephews, fourteen grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 20th from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Rev. Hershell Pierce officiating. Burial will follow in Scott Cemetery in Plainville.
