Thursday, October 18, 2007 Mr. Dolph Fuller Jr., age 87 of Fairmount, Ga., died Wednesday October 17th. in Hamilton Medical Center. Mr. Fuller was born in Gordon County on Oct. 13, 1920 son of the late Dolph Fuller Sr. and Maude Fouts Fuller and had lived in Gordon County Most of his life. He was a well known farmer, was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fairmount, was Mayor of Fairmount for 12 years, Former President of the Farm Bureau, Former President of Fairmount, Kiwanis Club and was a member of the Mornisnstar Lodge #349 in Fairmount. He was a veteran of WWII where he was a Navy Aviator. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister; Edna Nixon. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Dorothy Lambert Fuller of Fairmount, one brother; Ned Fuller of the Reeves station community, three sisters; Mary Blankenship of Plainville, Mae Maude Fuller of Calhoun and Alice Painter also of Calhoun. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday October 19th. from the Chapel of the Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Goss officiating. Interment will follow in the Chandler Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include; Chase , Dustin, Corey and Waylon Lambert, Ted Fuller, Will Painter, Shane Bowen and Danny Mayfield. Honorary pallbearers include;Bruce Kelly, Allen Boling, Tom Burton, Billy Champion, Billy Neal, Danny Hyde, James Haynes, Edward Mayfield, Garry Ingle and Ed McDanille and all these men are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1:45 P.M. Friday. The family will receive friends at the Thomas Funeral Home from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M. today (Thursday). Mrs. Ron Goss and Chelsea Patterson will have charge of the music.
