Dimple Louise Thornbrough, age 84 of Adairsville, died Sunday morning February 28, 2016 at Floyd Medical Center.
Dimple was born April 16, 1931 in Bartow County to the late Grady Itson and Willie Belle Reese. Besides being a homemaker, she was employed by Kuhlman Chenille for 30 years. She and her late husband Donald Lee Thornbrough were also chicken and cattle farmers. She was a member of the Adairsville Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her late husband of more than 50 years, Donald Lee Thornbrough and her sister Faye Itson.
Survivors include three sons, Jerry Thornbrough and his wife Jane of Adairsville, Ted Thornbrough and his wife Janet of Cartersville, and Mark Thornbrough and his wife Teresa of Adairsville; five grandchildren, Alyssa Daniel and her husband Zack, Lee Thornbrough, Zach Thornbrough, Joseph Thornbrough, and Tessa Joy Thornbrough; great granddaughter Brylee Thornbrough; several brother and sister in laws, nieces and nephews, and special friend Tallulah Cox also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday March 2nd, 2016 at 1 PM from the Adairsville Baptist Church with Rev. Stephen Cochran and Rev. Eric Sorrell officiating. Burial will follow in the East View Cemetery.
Family will receive friends at the church Wednesday March 2nd, 2016 from 11 to 1 PM.
Pallbearers serving include: Leonard Fletcher, Jim Langley, Jimmy Wood, John D. Hooker, Keith Parker, and Carter Wilson. Honorary Pallbearers include: Deacons of the First Baptist Church of Adairsville, Carlos Cook, and Kaiden Coker.
