Dimple Banks Lowe, age 82 of Oakman, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 in Quinton Memorial Health & Rehabilitation in Dalton.
Dimple was born on April 30, 1931 in Gilmer County to the late William B. Banks and Amny Anderson Banks. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and was formerly employed by Lacy Rug Mills for many years. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Lowe and a son, Cecil Lowe.
She is survived by her son, Buddy Lowe and his wife Judy of Oakman; daughter, Glenda Bagley and her husband Billy of Oakman; two brothers, Henry Banks of Chatsworth and Jessie Banks of Calhoun; sister, Jewel Wilson of Chatsworth; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, March 8th at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend Randy McClure and Reverend David Long officiating. Eva Lee Howell will have charge of music. Burial will follow in Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers serving will be Rex Lowe, Shawn Kittle, N.B. Banks, Bobby Banks, Wayne Banks, R.L. Callaway, Marshall Callaway and Michael Bagley.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5:00pm until 9:00pm at the funeral home.
