Dimple Knight

Saturday, January 27, 2007 Mrs. Dimple Knight age 82 of 266 Henderson Bend Rd., Calhoun, died Saturday January 27th; in the Gordon Hospital. Mrs. Knight was born in Gordon County, on June 5, 1924 daughter of the late Caleb and Minnie Moore Tate and had spent her entire life here. She was a member of the Echota Baptist Church and had attended the Calhoun First Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and in addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four sisters; Polly Tate Curtis, Lois Tate Dorsey, Minnie Lee Ledford and Rila Mae Hall Holland and one brother; Charles Tate. Survivors include her husband; Jack Knight of Calhoun and one daughter and son-in-law: Marie and John Meadows of Calhoun, two grandchildren: B.J. Meadows of Calhoun and Missy Meadows of Atlanta. Two great-grandchildren; Will and Patrick Meadows of Calhoun.Severan nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Monday January 29th. from the Chapel of the Thomas Funeral Home with Dr. Bert Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow in the Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include Tommy and Cale Curtis, Randy and Curt Duncan and Reed Davis and they are asked to meet at the Thomas Funeral Home at 1:45 P.M. Monday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 P.M.. until 6:00 P.M. on Sunday.
