Diane Talley Thurman

Mrs. Diane Talley Thurman, age 68, of Calhoun, passed away Saturday August 24th in Redmond Regional Hospital. Diane was born in Gordon County, June 25, 1951, daughter of the late James Morgan Talley and Ethel Anderson Talley. She was a member of the New Zion Baptist Church. Diane was also a member of the Oostanaula Community Club and enjoyed going to Arts and Craft shows, but what she really loved was watching her grandson, Hagen play ball. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers; Ronald Talley and David Anderson. She is survived by her husband of 49 years; Daniel Thurman, one daughter; Michelle Terry and her husband Marcus, one brother; Rev. Calvin Anderson and his wife Linda, and her grandson; Hagen Terry. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday August 27th at 1pm from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Earnest Channell officiating. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery with Steve Carey, Eric Dykes, Matt Barton, Phillip Anderson, Brian Anderson, and Ken Anderson serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Monday August 26th from 5 until 8pm at the funeral home.
