Dewey Clines, Jr., age 79 of Calhoun died Saturday, December 19 at 11:30 PM in Gordon Hospital.
Dewey was born, May 6, 1930 in Skyline, Alabama, son of the late Dewey Clines, Sr. and Evelyn Wilkerson Clines. Also, a son, Michael Gerald Clines, preceded him in death. He retired from the US Marine Corps with 24 years service and was a Veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was the longtime owner of Clines’s Appliance Sales & Service and had made his home in Calhoun since 1975. He was a member of the Saint Timothy’s Episcopal Church.
Dewey is survived by his wife, Carolyn Clines of Calhoun; a son and daughter in law, Dewey Charles Clines and his wife Patricia of Vista, California; a daughter Cynthia Clines of Calhoun; a great grandson, Easton Trotter of Calhoun; a sister Betsy Miller and her husband Odis of Stevenson, Alabama; grandchildren, Misty and Josh Smith, Dusty Trotter, Tammy Myrick, Michael Clines, Marjenne Clines, Derreck and Becky Clines, Lisa Clines, Craig Clines, and Shannon Clines; great grandchildren, Alexus and Peyton Wyatt, Landon Trotter, Chandler Autry, Ashley and Autumn Orozco, Bella Clines, Tyler McDonald, Jake Clines, Craig Clines, Dana and Owen Clines and Xoeanna Clines; sister in law and brother in law, Jewel and Max Marchionda of Calhoun.
Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 26 at the Saint Timothy’s Episcopal Church with Father Louis Tonsmeier officiating. The Calhoun Lions Club will serve as honorary escort and burial will be in Fain Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 PM, Tuesday, December 22 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to your favorite charity in addition to flowers.
