Destiny Ruby Jean Turner

Destiny Ruby Jean Turner, age 10 of Calhoun, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston. Destiny was born on October 1, 2006 in Whitfield County, daughter of Hank Turner and Charlotte Bunn Turner. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, James Ledford. She attended West Union Baptist Church. Destiny loved life, was fun loving, opinionated and enjoyed the outdoors. She was tough as nails. She is survived by her parents, Hank and Charlotte Turner of Calhoun; three brothers, Isaac Turner, Nicholas Turner and Christian Turner; grandparents, Linda Ledford, Mary Bowen and Paul Beavers; and two special people in her life, Jennifer Beavers and William Hanson. Several aunts and uncles also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, November 18th at 1 PM at Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Jerry Rice and Justin Silvers officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 4 PM until 8 PM at Thomas Funeral Home. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Destiny’s family to help with medical and final expenses.
