Denver A. Nutt

Denver A. Nutt, age 61 of Calhoun, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 in Kindred Hospital of Rome. Denver was born on January 21, 1952 in Parkersberg, West Virginia. He was the son of Pearl Comer Nutt and the late Denver V. Nutt. Denver served in the United States Air Force and worked for Tandus Flooring in Dalton, GA. He has been a resident of Gordon County for 20 years. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a niece, Amanda Carpenter. Survivors include: his wife, Cheryl Nutt of Calhoun; his mother, Pearl Comer Nutt of Parkerburg, West Virginia; son, Michael Nutt and his wife Lana of Groton, Connecticut; daughter, Megan Watson and her husband Joel of Calhoun; sisters, Sharon Dudley of Jacksonville, North Carolina, Sheila Jackson and her husband Junior of Williamstown, West Virginia, Luann Logan of Indianapolis, and Marilee Nutt of Parkersburg, West Virginia; seven grandchildren also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, July 6th at 10:00am from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend Carll Converse officiating and Michael Nutt speaking. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 5th from 5:00 until 8:00pm at the funeral home.
