Dennis F. "Pat" Patterson

Dennis F. “Pat” Patterson, age 88 of Marietta, died Thursday morning March 15th at Sacred Heart Hospital in Miramar Beach, Florida. Pat was born August 11, 1923 in Gordon County. Son of the late James Thad Patterson and Ollie Parker Patterson. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the United States Army. Pat was a member of the Shiloh Hills Baptist Church of Marietta, the Kennesaw Masonic Lodge #33 F&AM, and the Marietta Masonic Temple. He was preceded in death by his wife Kathryn Overton Patterson in 1997. Survivors include his three sons, Jerry Kris Patterson and his wife LaSydia of Marietta, Lynn Patterson and his wife Peggy of Simpsonville, SC., and Clay Patterson of Marietta. One daughter, Lynette Holder and her husband Larry of Marietta. Six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Monday March 19th at 11am at Shiloh Hills Baptist Church of Marietta with Rev. Vic Bledsoe officiating. Masonic graveside rites will be conducted at 3pm in Chandler Cemetery, Calhoun.
