Dennis Belverd Meadows

Tuesday, November 18, 2008 Mr. Dennis Belverd Meadows, age 65, of Atlanta and formerly of Calhoun died Sunday November 16 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Atlanta. Dennis was born in Gordon County, June 22, 1943. He was the son of the late Dennis Belverd and Christine Edwards Meadows, Sr.. He was a member of the Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church. Dennis was a well-known real estate and development appraiser and a member of the Appraisal Institute of Georgia. Survivors include his wife of 43 years Sandra Durden Meadows of Atlanta; one son, Dennis Meadows III and his wife Heather of Abilene, Texas; two daughters; Casssie Owens and her husband Todd of Roswell, Kellie Cardelino and her husband Nick of Duluth; one sister, Patricia Peck and her husband Jim of Jackson, Mississippi; seven grandchildren, one niece and one nephew, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday November 19th at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Funereal Home with Rev. Mike Roper officiating. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Tuesday evening. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in Dennis’s name.
