Deborah Jean "Debbie" Potter

Deborah Jean Potter, age 63, of Calhoun and formerly of Thomasville, passed away Friday afternoon December 20th at her residence. Debbie was born September 17, 1956 in Boston, Georgia, daughter of the late Clifford House and Carolyn Barnes House. She was an artist and poet. Debbie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Gale Tillman. She is survived by her husband; Everett “Gene” Potter of Calhoun, three sons; Jason Potter and his wife Jennifer of Rome, Josh Potter and Jeremy Potter both of Calhoun. Three grandchildren; Brittney Crumbley, Hope Thacker, and Chance Potter. Three great-grandchildren; Slade Crumbley, Jade Crumbley and Trace Tacchi also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Monday Dec. 23rd at 3pm from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Pastor Carll Converse officiating. Burial will follow on Thursday December 26th at 11:30am at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia. The family will receive friends Monday from 1pm until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
