Deborah A. "Debbie" Foster

Deborah A. “Debbie” Foster, age 73, passed unexpectedly on March 15, 2023, at her home in The Villages FL. 

Born August 6, 1949, in Calhoun, GA, Deborah was the daughter of Noah Harlow Foster and Doris Lackey. Deborah was known affectionately as Debbie by friends and family. She worked as a Certified Court Reporter for over 30 years until her retirement in 2009.  She enjoyed playing Bridge, Mahjong, Samba and was an avid reader. Deborah had a passion for travel, Musical Theatre, cooking, history, genealogy and a love for animals, especially her beloved fur babies Tsongi, Cooper, and Riley.  Debbie also enjoyed collecting and took pride in the display of her extensive collection of Department 56 Christmas Village. Deborah was a long-time member of the First Presbyterian Church in Calhoun, GA and the First Presbyterian Church in Wildwood, FL

She was preceded in death by her Father, Noah Harlow Foster.

Survivors include her Mother, Doris Lackey.   Son, David Eric (Julia) Patterson of The Villages FL; Daughter, Angela (Dale) Brown of Colfax, NC; Step-Daughter, Kris Hogshead Parrish of Savannah, GA; and Step-Son, Thomas “Ted” (Stephanie) Hogshead of Dalton, GA. Two Grandchildren Zachary Bryce Brown and Amelia Grace Brown and two Step-Grandchildren Caroline Hogshead and Kathryn Parrish. In addition to numerous friends and family members.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested expressions of sympathy take the form of memorial donations in her name to the Harris Arts Center or The Family Resource Center of Gordon County.

A Celebration of Life for Deborah Ann Foster age 73 of The Villages, FL will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Calhoun, GA at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 1 2023.
