Debbie Chitwood

Debbie Chitwood, age 59 of Calhoun, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2013 in Hamilton Medical Center after a four month battle with cancer. Debbie was born on March 8, 1954 in Gordon County. She was the daughter of the late E.W. (Fat) Chitwood and Lilla Young Chitwood. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Connie Chitwood. Survivors include: her two sisters, Kay Fowler and her husband David of Calhoun, and Ann Hall and her husband Fred of Resaca; two nieces, Paige Fowler of Calhoun, and MaryAnn Sanford of Marietta; two nephews, Eddie Hall and his wife Debbie of Calhoun, and Chuck Hall of Missoula, MT; A special friend, Sheilah Hasty Pelletier of Phoenix, AZ; several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 13th at 1:00pm from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend David Ray officiating. Burial will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens in Dalton. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 12th from 5 until 8pm at the funeral home.
