Debbie Brown

Debbie Brown, age 103 of Dalton, passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at her residence. Debbie was born on January 20, 1911 in Ringgold, GA. She was the daughter of the late Med Wilbanks and Ida Beck Wilbanks. She was a member of the Riverbend Church of Christ. She was a resident of Gordon County, until she went to live with her son, Frank, in Dalton for the last 14 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank E. Brown, Sr.; brother, George Bud Wilbanks; and five sisters, Anne Chaffee, Bette Payne, Robbie Fowler, Medalyn Allen, and Daisy Bell Wilbanks. She is survived by her son, Frank E. Brown, Jr. and his wife Marlene of Dalton; one sister, Bertha Russell of Atlanta; two grandchildren, Kristy Ryals and her husband Dale, and Jeff Brown and his wife Jinna Brown; six great-grandchildren, Kandis Guice, Karli Guice, Layla Brown, Jilly Brown, Stella Brown, Beau Brown. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, August 22nd at 3:00pm from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Minister Roger Mackenzie and Minister Jule Medders officiating. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery. Nephews and friends serving as pallbearers include Larry Fowler, Jimmy Fowler, Ricky Fowler, David Wilbanks, Anthony Allen, Junior Allen, and Donnie Thomas. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5 – 8pm at the funeral home.
