David Kim Rich

David Kim Rich, age 60, passed away on Wednesday, September 18. He was a cherished brother, father, and grandfather.

Born on February 18, 1964, in Gordon County, David was the son of the late William Andrew "Big Boy" Rich and Lois Eleene Metcalf Rich  (Toots). 

David worked as an electrician for many years but found his greatest joy in being a father and grandfather. He adored his grandchildren: Chaysten, Collin, and Annalynn Edwards; and Hayden and Rylie Prieto. He loved spending time with them, sharing his passion for nature and teaching them the beauty of the outdoors.

David is survived his sisters, Joann Walker, Joyce Waters, Julia Nichols, Edith Womack, and Pamela Rich Thompson; his brother, Michael Rich; his daughters, Kimberly and Christy; and his five grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Thomas Funeral Home from 9 AM to 11 AM on Saturday, September 21, 2024. A funeral service will follow at 11 AM, officiated by Rev. Norris Sexton. Pallbearers include: Marcus Nelson, Noe Prieto, Gerald Palmer, Cullihan Gilfoil, and Mathew Brackett.
