David Lynn Johns

David Lynn Johns, age 48 of Calhoun, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at WellStar Tranquility at Kennesaw Mountain of Marietta. David was born on January 23, 1968 in Gordon County to Martha Rose Keeney Choate and the late Wesley E. Johns. He was employed by Quality Finishers. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by brother, Daryl Johns; and his former wife, Mechelle Schinall. He is survived by his wife, Rebekah Patterson Johns of Resaca; son, Jeffrey Wolfenbarger of Calhoun; mother, Martha Johns Choate of Resaca; two brothers, Dennis Patterson of Resaca, and Mike Johns of Cartersville; two grandchildren, Donaven Wolfenbarger and Alexa Wolfenbarger; and special pet, Tia Johns also survives. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, July 30th at 11 AM at Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Mershall Shawn Ingle officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery in Resaca.
