David Freeman

David Freeman, age 55 of Calhoun, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 in Gordon Hospital following injuries sustained in an automobile accident. David was born on September 10, 1956. Son of Carl Frank Freeman and the late Margaret Hardin Freeman. David enjoyed boating, flying, and fishing. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by one step-son Daniel Hamby. Survivors include; his wife Brenda Watkins Hamby Freeman of the residence. His father, Carl F. Freeman of Calhoun. One daughter; Yvonne Ingle and her husband Josh of Gilmer County, GA. Two step-sons; Shane Hamby and his wife Airagee of Calhoun, and Nathan and Kari Hamby of Adairsville. One brother Larry Freeman of Gainesville, GA. Two sisters; Barbara Smith of Calhoun and Helen Keener and her husband Jeff of Calhoun. Brother-in-laws; Phillip Akers and his wife Doris of DeLand, FL, and Robert Watkins and his wife Brenda of Crandall, GA. Sister-in-laws; Deborah Keown of Calhoun, and Barbara Thorpe and her husband Charles of Rome, GA. Four grandchildren; David Freeman, Kirsten Ingle, Nikki Ingle, and Sarah Ingle. Three step-grandchildren; Dawson Hamby, Jackson Hamby, and Layah Hamby. Nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, March 2nd at 4:00p.m. from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Jeff Keener officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 1st from 4:00 – 7:00p.m. at the funeral home.
