David Benny Burchett

Tuesday, May 01, 2007 Mr. David Burchett age 70, of 314 Mashburn Rd., Chatsworth, Ga., formerly of Gordon County, died Monday April 30th; in the Hamilton Medical Center, Dalton, Ga. following a brief illness. David was born in Gordon County on April 5th. 1937 son of the late King and Lela Waters Burchett, was a self employed Brick Mason and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters; Louise Carney and Nanny Lou Duvall and three brothers; Jack, J.W. and Clyde Burchett. Survivors include his wife Kathy Smith Burchett of Chatsworth, one daughter; Susie Jones of Chatsworth, one son Doug Smith of Calhoun, two brothers; Glenn and Bill Burchett both of Calhoun, one granddaughter; Brieanna Jones and two great-grandchildren; Zoe Ingle and Stormi Ingle. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday May 2nd. from the Chapel of the Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Gay Grizzle officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethesda Baptist Church Cemetery near Red Bud. The Family will receive friends at the Thomas Funeral Home after 5:00 P.M. today (Tuesday).
