Darren Jamie Gibson

Mr. Darren Jamie Gibson of Calhoun died February 25, 2023, at home.

Mr. Gibson was born on June 26, 1961, to Mr. Gene Gibson and Mrs. Josephine Latario Gibson. The family lived in New Jersey where several relatives of Mr. Gibson still reside.

Mr. Gibson attended and graduated from J. P. Stevens High School in Edison, New Jersey. He found love with Ms. Maureen Morrison-Gibson and they were married until her death. Together, they had two children, Erin and Lindsey. At the time of his death, Mr. Gibson was dating Ms. Suzanne Rider.

An avid motorcycle enthusiast, Mr. Gibson enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was a member of Thunder Motorcycle Club. He also enjoyed going to the shooting range, and living in the moment with his family and friends.

Mr. Gibson is predeceased by his parents, Gene and Josephine; his wife, Maureen; and a sibling, Dean Gibson. Survivors of Mr. Gibson include: daughter Erin Gibson and her fiancé, Sarah Harris; Lindsey Gibson Dixon and her husband, Judah; two grandchildren, Kataleya Dixon and Kayden Dixon.

A Memorial Service in Mr. Gibson’s honor will be held Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at 4pm at the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requested that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
