Revision of 9:30 PM, Sunday, December 09, 2007 Danny Thomas, age 51 of Calhoun died Saturday, December 08, 2007 at his residence following an unexpected illness. He was born in Gordon County, son of the former Miss Gertrude Smalley and the late Leonard W. Thomas. He was a member of the New Grace Baptist Church of Rome. He is survived by his wife, Blondel Thomas of Rome; mother, Gertrude S. Mullis of Calhoun; two step-sons, Johnny Stephens of Gainesville and Tony Potts of Rome; one step-daughter, Kim Lewis of Savannah; one brother, Kenneth Harrison and his wife, Dianne of Resaca; one sister, Shirley Dixon and her husband Ricky of Calhoun; nephews, Julian and Jason Harrison; one niece, Jennifer McEntyre and her husband, Michael of Calhoun; three step-grandchildren, Derrick Smith, Crystal Stephens, and Tiffany Stephens; and a special companion, Lucky. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Monday, December 10 at the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend Eddie Brannon officiating. Burial will be in Franklin Cemetery.
