Dana Michelle Patterson

Dana Michelle Patterson, age 42, former resident of Calhoun died July 27, 2013 She was born, July 8, 1971 in Gordon County, daughter of Dwight Patterson and Sarah Smith Pearson. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Vernon and Grace Patterson, Sanford and Barbara Smith, J. C. and Maude “Nanny” Pearson and an uncle, Paul Patterson. Dana was an alumni of Gordon Central High School, Class of 1989 where she was a member of the flag corps.She attended Branell Business College and was an avid Falcons Fan. She loved to sing. But, her life revolved around her two pets Izzy and Bailey. She was a member of the Meadowdale Baptist Church. She is survived by her parents, Dwight Patterson of Calhoun; mother, Sarah Pearson and her husband Steven; brothers, Blu Pearson and his wife Wendy of Alexander, Egypt, Blaze Pearson of Hiram, Georgia; sisters, Jamie Lee Patterson Cooper and her husband, Joey of Lacey, Washington and Rebekah Echols and her husband Brian of Douglasville; aunts and uncles, Vivian Woodring and her husband Bobby, Cheryl Jones and her husband Larry, David Patterson, Jane Watkins and her husband John, Tommy Smith and his wife Kathy, Judy Peterson and her husband, Eddie, Ronald Pearson and his wife Debra. Several nieces and nephews also survive Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 3 at the Meadowdale Baptist Church with Dr. Steven Pearson officiating. Angie Childers, Travis Stevens, and Fay Bentley will have charge of music. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 9:00 PM Friday at the church. Pallbearers are Mike Griffin, David Patterson, Darrin Woodring, Kelly Carney, Blaze Pearson, Brian Echols, Beau Watkins, and Ronald Pearson. Cousins will serve as honorary pallbearers.
