D. "Buck" M. Holland

Sunday, January 20, 2008 Mr. D.M. “Buck: Holland, Jr. age 84 of 2185 Roland Hayes Parkway, Calhoun, died Sunday morning in the Chatsworth Health Care following an extended illness. Buck was worn in Gordon County, G. on October 31, 1923 son of the late Dock Milton and Inez Robertson Holland Sr. and had been a lifelong resident. He worked for many years for Crown Craft . He formerly attended the Antioch Baptist Church and was a veteran of WWII serving with the U.S. Air Force. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Dymple Silvers Holland, two brothers James and Roy Holland and a sister; Patsy Holland. Survivors include one son Robert Holland and his wife Cynthia of Adairsville, one daughter Sylvia Roberts and Her husband Dennie of Calhoun, two sisters; Jean Jones of Calhoun and Fay Camp of Marietta, three grandchildren; Jennifer Pendergraft of Suwannee, Ga. , Shane Roberts and Mandy Allen, six greatgrandchildren; Payton Pendergrft, Logan Roberts, McKayla , MacKensie and Macee Hall and Brooklynn Allen. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday January 22nd. from the Chapel of the Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. William Camp officiating. Interement will follow in the Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include William and Edmond Holland, Shane Roberts, Cain Allen, Dale Pendergraft and Dennie Roberts and these gentlemen are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1:30 P.M. Tuesday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.
