Mrs.. Cynthia Redd “Cindy” DeFoor, age 44 of the Old Rome Dalton, Rd. died Tuesday February 23rd. at her residence following several months of declining health. Cynthia was born Fulton County, Ga. on October 11, 1965 daughter of John and Vivian Hightower Redd. She was a member of the Sugar Valley Baptist Church and had been employed by K-Mart for 18 years prior to her ill health. She was preceded in death by grandparents Hoyt and Parlee Hightower. Survivors include her husband Doug DeFoor, her father ; John (Bobby Jo) Redd, her mother and step father Vivian and Melvin Jackson , grandmother; Edna DeFoor, a son; Hoyt DeFoor, a daughter; Chelsea Baldwin and her husband Dered and a brother ; John B. Redd Jr. all of Gordon County. Three sisters; Tammy Redd Mason, Billie Redd Walls and Sabrina Redd Norton all of Taylorsville, Ga., and two step-sisters; Laura Hufstetler and Sandra Wheat along with several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Thursday Feb. 25th. from the Chapel of the Thomas Funeral Home with Revs. Pat Potts and Melvin Waters officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery at the Hall Memorial Baptist a Church. Pallbearers serving include Paul DeFoor, Arnall Holcomb, Joey Marcyes, Jeff Mason, Sam Momon and Derik Baldwin and they are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12:45 P.M. Thursday. The family will receive friends at the Thomas Funeral Home from 5:00 until 9:00 P.M. today. In addition to flowers the family requests donations be made to the March Of Dimes.
