Curt Blackburn Thompson, age 74 of Calhoun and Gordon County died at 12:25 AM, Sunday, October 18 in the Hospice of Chattanooga.
Curt was born in Elkhart, Indiana, September 1, 1946, son of the late Warren B. Thompson and Ruth Stoffle Thompson. Curt was an alumnus of Georgia State University. He retired from Equifax with 38 years of service as Vice President of Accounting.
Curt is survived by his wife, Pamela Rich Thompson ; one son Curt B. Thompson II of Norcross ; daughter, Kimberly Thompson Swope and her husband John of Loganville; two sisters, Judy Williams and her husband Jack of Canton, Peggy Horsley and her husband Lamar of Buckhead; three grandchildren, John II, Lily, and Anna Swope; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, October 21 at the graveside in Oostanaula Baptist Church Cemetery with the Pastor Mark Irwin officiating. Pallbearers are Curt Thompson II, John Swope I, John Swope II, and Jack Williams. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 PM at the funeral home preceding the graveside service.
