Craddock Durham, age 86 of Calhoun, passed away on Tuesday, May 28th in Hamilton Medical Center. Craddock was born on April 24, 1927 in Woodville, GA. He was the son of the late A.F. Durham and Helen Pope McWhorter Durham. Craddock was a member of Belmont Baptist Church and served as a Baptist minister pasturing Mars Hill for two years, had an extensive Prison Minister and served as a deacon in all the churches that he attended. He was also a member of the Lions Club, The Exchanges Club, The Dooley County Historical Society and was a very proud Gideon. He was a veteran of United States Army serving in Post War Italy. Survivors include: his wife of 61 ½ years, Joyce Durham; one son, Dr. John C. Durham and his wife Carla of Carrollton, GA; one daughter, Patti Durham Cannon and her husband Phillip of Dalton; three sisters, Doris Tanner of Decatur, Julia Lowe Oliver of Decatur and Mary Boyd Barfield of Augusta; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survives. Burial was held on Thursday, May 30th at the Mars Hill Cemetery in Vienna, GA.
