Cora Bell Mincey

Thursday, January 29, 2009 Mrs. Cora Bell Mincey age 85 of 202 Hillhouse Drive, Calhoun, died Wednesday January 28th in Sunbridge Nursing Home in Cartersville following an extended illness. Mrs. Mincey was born in Gordon County on August 15, 1923 daughter of the late Charlie and Ruth Ann Beasley Wilson. She was retired from Ga. Textile and in addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Glenn Walraven and her second husband J.C. Mincey and a son Randall Walraven. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law; Travis and Pat Walraven of Canton, Ga. and a sister; Emma Mae Peace of Calhoun, five grandchildren , four great-grandchildren along with a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday January 31st. from the Chapel of the Thomas Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Crane Eater Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 until 9:00 P.M. Friday evening. Pallbearers serving include Brian, Danny, and Eddie Wilson,Donnie, Mitch and Mike Ralston and they are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12:45 P.M. Saturday.
