Clyde W. Stanfield, age 72 of the Ranger community. Died Wednesday February 9th in the Floyd Medical Center.
Clyde was born in Gordon County on April 18, 1938. Son of the late John Henry and Eunice Shepherd Stanfield. Prior to his retirement Clyde was employed by Stanfield Brothers Paving as a motor grader operator. He was a member of the Masonic Order and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Carroll Stanfield of Ranger. Two sons; Scott Stanfield and his wife Bobbie of Fairmount and Greg Stanfield and his wife Angel of Cumming. Two daughters; Carla Garcia and her husband Alberto of Dalton, and Christie Farmer of Acworth. Two brothers; Jerry Stanfield and his wife Joyce of Fairmount and Ricky Stanfield of White. Two sisters; Brenda Holliman and her husband Harold of Cartersville, and Carolyn Loudermilk and her husband Billy of Adairsville. Seventeen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday February 12th at 2pm from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home. With Rev. Terry Timms officiating. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include; Mike Jones, Melvin Kimbrell, Alberto Garcia, Jamie Roden, Greg, Tim, Mark, and John Stanfield. Honorary Escorts include; Jonathon Farmer, Nicholas Farmer, and Donald "Duck" King.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 4 until 8pm.
