Clonsie "Ossie" Jones

Thursday, October 09, 2008 Mr. Clonsie "Ossie" Jones, age 97 of 3062 Fleet Street Marietta, Ga. died Tuesday October 7th. in the Specialty Care in Marietta following an extended illness. Mr. Jones was born in Gordon County Georgia on August 21, 1911, son of the late William Americas Jones and Martha Matilda Stewart Jones ., but has spent the greater part of his life in Roswell, Ga. Mr Jones worked for General Motors in Management for 34 years and was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 75 years on July 6, 2004. Survivors include two daughters; Nancy Dawson of Bakersfield, California, and Hannah Speer and her husband Wayne of Schreveport, La. Six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildred also survive. Graveside and interment services will be conducted at 2:00 Monday October 13th from the Johnson Cemetery in Fairmount, Ga. The family requests that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to the Alzheimers Association.
