Clell Silvers Hamrick, age 80 of Fairmount, gained her wings September 9, 2017 at Cartersville Medical Center. Everyone loved her smile, laugh, and hugs which she gave so freely. Everywhere she went she spread love and laughter. She is truly happy to be reunited with “Pop Pop” her soulmate Charles Hamrick.
Clell was born on March 29, 1937 in Tifton, Ga to the late Grady Silvers and Azzie Silvers. In addition to her parents and soulmate Charles Hamrick, she is preceded in death by many brothers, sisters and son-in-law, Russell Offutt. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Sheila Hamrick Alvis of Fairmount and Deborah Offutt of Calhoun; brother, Phenise Silvers of Colorado; two grandchildren, Kacee Offutt-Currence and her husband John and Erik Offutt; two great-grandchildren, Kole Offutt and Ella Offutt; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 10, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be conducted Monday, September 11, 2017 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Fred McCoy officiating. Burial will follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Jasper, Georgia at a later time. Honorary pallbearers serving are Butch Lambert, Tom Burton, Terry Fouts, Eddie Pack, Tom Yancey, Michael Yancey, Steve Yancey, Bobby Reeves, Rusty Langston and Steve Marshall.
In addition to flowers, memorial contribution can be made to the Alzheimer’s association.
