Clarence Emile Hebert, age 81 of Calhoun, passed away on Monday, July 2, 2012 at his residence surrounded by his family. Clarence was born on September 14, 1930 in Fort Kent, Maine. He is the son of the late Emile Hebert and Estelle Bourgoin Hebert. Clarence was of the Catholic faith and was employed by Wiremold prior to his retirement. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the United States Army. Clarence was born in Maine, but had spent most of his life in New Britain, Connecticut before moving to Calhoun, GA 10 months ago to be close to his daughter. His passion in life was his family but he loved to work in his garden. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: Four brothers; Emile, Lewellyn, Roland and Richard and one sister, Lillian (Hebert) Ouellette. Survivors include: his wife, Rena Hebert, one daughter, Diane Mowry and her husband Michael all of Calhoun. Two brothers: Paul Hebert of Van Buren, ME and Patrick Hebert and his wife Mae Rita of Fort Kent, ME. Four sisters: Loretta Labrie and her husband Alfred of Clair, N.B. Canada, Cecelia Dubois and her husband Elmer of Fort Kent, ME, Rose Marie Plourde and her husband Edward of Fort Kent, ME and Geneva Boucher and her husband Lewis of Terryville, CT. Three grandchildren: James (JP) Podbielski and companion Tonya Bennett, Jennifer Weaver and her husband Lee, Michelle Gallman and her husband Zach. Many nieces and nephews also survive. A Funeral Mass will be conducted at 11:30am on Wednesday, July 4th at St. Clement’s Catholic Church in Calhoun, GA with Father Joe Shaute officiating. Burial will take place in the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton on Thursday July 5th at 11am with full military honors. The family will receive friends from 10am until 11am on Wednesday, July 4th at the Thomas Funeral Home in Calhoun.
