Christopher Shane Walker

Christopher Shane “Chris” Walker, age 29 of Ranger, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2016 at his residence. Chris was born on August 29, 1986 in Gordon County, GA to Robert Walker and Lavonda Springfield Walker. He was a member of Corinth Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Gunner Walker. He is survived by his wife, Lesley Harstine Walker of Ranger; son, Gavin Thomas Walker of Calhoun; parents, Robert and Lavonda Springfield Walker; grandmother, Bonnie Walker of Calhoun; two brothers, Wayne Joseph Springfield and his wife Laura of Rydal, and Jeremy Derek Springfield and his wife Katie of Rydal; two nieces, Emma Springfield and Ellie-Kate Harstine; four nephews, Owen Springfield, Sawyer Springfield, Wyatt Springfield, and Waylon Harstine; a host of aunts, uncles and cousins; and many brothers-in-arms who served in the United States Army in Iraq. Memorial Services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 18th at 11:00 AM at Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Donald Bishop and Reverend Roy Davis officiating. Pallbearers will be Henry Harstine, Stephen Hughey, Chad Temple, Dewayne Junkins, Max Gable, Steven Marlow, and Keith Pack.
