Christene Roach

Monday, April 09, 2007 Mrs. Christene G. Roach, age 88 of 467 Terrace Drive, Smyrna, Ga. died Sunday April 8th. at her residence in Smyrna. Christene was born in Gordon County on Nov. 7th. 1918 daughter of the late William Edward and Mattie Mae Gulledge Gillespie. She was retired from the Cobb County School System where she was Manager of the School Food Services. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Jason Neal Roach in 1995. Survivors include one son; Jay Roach of Smyrna, Ga. one brother; Adron Gillespie of the (Rosedale Community) Calhoun, two sisters; Willene G. Whittemore and Virginia Amos both of Calhoun. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 Wednesday April 11th. from the Chapel of the Thomas Funeral Home with Dr. Brian Clark officiating. Interment will follow in the Fain Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Thomas Funeral Home from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday .
