Chip DeFoor

Chip DeFoor, age 51 of Summerville, GA, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Redmond Regional Medical Center. Chip was born on December 23, 1968 in Floyd County, GA, son of the late Everette Louis DeFoor, SR and Edna Jeanette Hughey DeFoor. In addition to his parents, Chip was also preceded in death by: a sister, Cindy DeFoor; and a brother, Steve DeFoor. Chip was a resident of Summerville, GA at Daily Care of Summerville for 17 years in the care of Brenda Veatch. Chip is survived by: two brothers, Lane DeFoor and his wife Jennie, and Zane DeFoor and his wife Janie; sister, Angie Garland and her husband Cal; aunts and uncle, Nettie Lou and Norman Hollingsworth, Hazel DeFoor and Pat DeFoor; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday, March 8th at 4 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Dr. Steve Pickern officiating. Interment will follow in Gordon Memorial Gardens with Bart DeFoor in charge of graveside rites. Pallbearers serving include: Ricky DeFoor, Josh DeFoor, Tim DeFoor, Chad DeFoor, Bart DeFoor, Brian Garland, Drew Garland, and Pierce Garland. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 8th from 2 PM until 4 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
