Wednesday, August 06, 2008 Mrs. Charlotte H. Caron of Calhoun, died Wednesday morning in Gordon Health Care Center following several weeks of declining health. Charlotte was born in Anniston, Alabama on June 5, 1924 daughter of the late Earl Thomas and Fannie Henson Hughes and had lived in Calhoun since 1965. She was a member of the Calhoun First United Methodist Church and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband George Caron in 2000, a granddaughter; Leslie Caron and a sister; Martha Currie; Survivors include one son and his wife Dr. Douglas and Tina Caron of Trion, Ga. two daughters and sons-in-law; Nancy and Shag Worley of Sugar Valley and Cheryl and Johnny Parker of Calhoun. One sister;Reba Cheyne of Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday August 8th. from the Calhoun First United Methodist Church with Dr. Brian Clark officiating. Interment will follow in the Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include Shag Worley, Jerry Davis, Johnny Parker, David Brown, Chris Jordan and Royce Currie. And they are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:30 A.M. Friday. Corey Caron will have charge of the music. The family will receive friends at the Thomas Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday evening.
