Charles "Peepers" Parker

Charles “Peepers” Parker, age 77 of the Erwin Hill community died October 28 after an extended illness. Peepers was born, October 7, 1938 in Gordon County, son of the late Melton S. Parker and Annie Bell Stroud Parker. Also, he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Parker Gillespie. He had been employed by Burger’s Market and later as a roofing installer for Wayne Hall Realty. As a hobby he was an expert “pool shooter”. Peepers is survived by two brothers, Eddie and Jimmy Parker of Calhoun; additional extended family members are Benny and Marilyn Parker and Ricky Smith. A private memorial service was conducted at a later date. Thomas Funeral Home has charge of arrangements for the services of Charles “Peepers” Parker.
